The SkillsUSA Advocacy Site is a free resource for state leaders and advisors to contact their governors, lieutenant governors, state senators and representatives, state attorney generals and other local officials, as well as members of Congress and the media.
To contact your elected officials or local media, go to: www.congressweb.com/susa/#/. Once there, simply compose a message, fill in your address, and click “Go.” To email a press release to local media, choose the media tab at the top of the page. From there, enter your zip code or click on your state on the map. Choose up to six outlets at a time and click “Send a Message.” Fill in your contact information, type or paste your message, and then click “Send.”
We encourage you to not just use this resource, but to help raise awareness of it within your chapters. It’s a great, simple way to spread the word about the your chapter’s great work.
