The new “SkillsUSA: Clothing and Tools” app includes an overview, clothing requirements, and eligibility
and safety guidelines, as well as lists the specific tools, equipment or materials that contestants need to provide.
Always prepare your students by reading the newest edition of contest guidelines. Texas Regulations are found on this web site.

We understand that with the advancement of technology, that some of our competitive events would want to embrace the use of drones to capture video. Some things you need to think about. Most of the video competitions will be taking place inside public buildings, in limited space with the public watching. All of this will entail the liability of the individual/school/event coordinator becoming liable if there is an occurrence that would possibly cause damage to property or bodily injury. Since these drones are subject to direction by the user the chance of operator error would be too great for SkillsUSA Texas to permit their use at this time. Most public buildings have strict prohibitions on the use of drones in their buildings.
Name badges are required to enter Opening Ceremony and all SkillsUSA Texas sessions and competitions. Registration Fees are as follows
Student Fee $75.00
Advisor Fee $75.00
Observer/Model Fee $ 75.00
Job Exhibit Entry Fee Student Not attending $75.00
On-Site registration will $100.00 for each participant.
State Conference Registration will close on March 23rd. Any registration after that date will be considered late and will need to be submitted at the conference.
If you register after March 23rd you can expect to pay a $25.00 late registration fee for each participant registered after March 23rd @ 12:00 pm.
Payment deadline is March 28, 2018. All checks should be mailed. Please be sure payment is mailed to the address below to reach the office by the 28th so that it may be processed before you arrive.
