The District 7 registration deadline is Friday, February 1, 2019. Late registration will be accepted until February 6th with a penalty fee of $25 per person. No registrations will be accepted after Friday, February 8. We have hotel agreements with the Hampton Inn, Comfort Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites, and the Holiday Inn & Suits. Ask for the District 7 Group rates.
No Substitutions will be allowed past February 8th after 4:00PM. This will be strictly enforced.
The entry fee for District 7 SkillsUSA competition is $40.00 per student. Students registered after February 6th will pay a $25.00 late entry fee. Make checks or money orders payable to SkillsUSA Texas District 7 and mail them to the address listed below. Please include your chapter number and invoice with the check. (No cash is accepted.)
Registration will begin Thursday February 7 at 5:00PM, and Quiz Bowls will begin at 6PM in Beeson Building cafeteria on the LIT campus in Beaumont.
Please note the competition changes on the above agenda. Anything in RED is tentative.
February 1st is the deadline for SkillsUSA membership. You must register your students by this date to be eligible to compete in district contests. Be sure that you have submitted students’ names on the national web page.
If you have any students interested in becoming a District 7 officer, complete the Officer Candidate Registration Packet and email a scanned copy of the application with a copy of the high school transcript for each candidate to Andi Pope, email@example.com Make sure you get a confirmation from Andi. This information needs to be emailed to Andi by February 4th by 4:00PM. No late candidate packets will be considered. Candidates will have to pass the SkillsUSA Knowledge test with a score of 75 or above in order to qualify to give their candidate speeches and be considered for voting.

For each contest, the new “SkillsUSA: Clothing and Tools” app includes an overview, clothing requirements, and eligibility and safety guidelines, as well as lists the specific tools, equipment or materials that contestants need to provide. This Document should be downloaded and sent home with each student. It should be reviewed with their parent or guardian, signed and returned to the advisors. The advisor will then indicate this form has been reviewed and signed by checking the box at the bottom of each students registration and by entering the information on the registration page during registration or after the registration has closed. IT MUST BE COMPLETED FOR ALL EVENTS.
